Teijo National Park is one of the most popular national parks in southern Finland. The trekking trails circle around the three largest lakes of the area and majority of the routes are family-friendly. All national park services are centered on the shores of Lake Matildanjärvi, where you can enjoy sauna, go kayaking or visit the trails with a fatbike. Nearby village of Mathildedal introduces you with the best restaurants and small shops in the area.

Matildanjärvi cabins are located by the lake Matildanjärvi which makes them an optimal base for your national park adventure. Well-equipped cabins are included with beds for six people and great kitchen facilities. Cabin accommodation is included with one sauna session per night. Vaappu and Lippa: well-equipped wilderness cabins for nature lovers

Renovated in 2020, Vaappu and Lippa are ideal for anyone seeking an authentic Finnish wilderness experience without sacrificing comfort. Each cabin features two sleeping alcoves, a wood-burning stove, and electric heating for basic warmth. Outdoors, you’ll find a campfire area and picnic benches – a perfect setting to relax after a day of adventure.

Accommodation capacity: 6 persons per cabin (12 persons total)

Facilities:

• Beds, mattresses, and pillows for 6 guests

• Well-equipped kitchen (electric stove, oven, coffee pot, pots, cooking utensils)

• Wood-burning stove and electric heating

• Cleaning supplies, first aid kit, and fire safety equipment

• Drinking water containers (refillable at the Nature Center)

Information regarding accommodation

• Accommodation is self-catered – you will receive detailed instructions on the key pickup with your booking confirmation.

• Vaappu and Lippa can be booked separately or together. If you reserve both cabins, you’ll have exclusive use of the shared yard and an additional daily sauna session.

• One sauna session (1,5 hours) per cabin per night is included in the reservation.

• Please follow the Leave No Trace principle – take all waste to the designated recycling point or out of the park area.

• Pets are welcome! A pet fee will be added to your booking.

• Cabins are available from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival until 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
